VMT Going to DrupalCon San Francisco

We are very excited to announce that our team will be hitting the road and heading out to San Francisco April 19-21 for DrupalCon. This international gathering is the premier place to learn about all things related to Drupal, one of the world's most popular content management systems. As one of the country's leading Drupal shops, VMT will be sponsoring this year's conference and showing off our new SocialToaster for Drupal module!

So, what is Drupal? Drupal is a free, open source content management system (CMS) that is used as a back end system for maintaining a web site. A variety of sites, including those for the White House and Fast Company, use Drupal. We are big proponents of Drupal for several reasons:

• Usability: Pretty much anyone can update content on a Drupal web site. Even the most technologically averse individuals can update and change a site with ease using the platform's simple interface.

• Community: As an open source software, Drupal is supported by a large passionate developer community making it a constantly improving product. 

• Search Engine Optimization: Unlike many other systems that create lengthy complex URL's, Drupal creates very simple, memorable addresses. Your content is also fully indexed and searchable at all times giving it improved search engine placement.

• Modules: Features beyond those of Drupal's core capabilities can be added to a Drupal site via the hundreds of plug in modules developed by the aforementioned Drupal community.
